Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene won with brio the Idiot of the Week title after the media unearthed a slew of Facebook posts dating back to 2018 and 2019 in which she called for nothing else but the execution of Democratic politicians.
CNN saved the links to hundreds of posts and comments from Ms Greene’s Facebook page. In one, she said that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will “suffer death or she’ll be in prison.”
Initially, we thought that, probably realizing the magnitude of her insanity, it was Ms Greene who, ashamed of herself, removed the posts. But soon we found out that, before running for Congress, Ms Greene had said that other people run her Facebook page. Shockingly, she also claimed that some of the posts on her own page did not “represent” her views. It’s not clear whether that means that she is against executions in general or that she only wants to put some politicians to death.
Whatever the case, how would one let other people use your social media account to call for executions is beyond comprehension.
