MPMONITOR Provenance Directory · Built since 2015

Who shapes the information environment?

Explore the organizations and actors MPMONITOR maps across media, politics, platforms, advertising, business and public institutions. This directory shows who we track and their public channels — not the full intelligence behind each profile.

A public window into a much deeper map

Since its establishment in 2015, MPMONITOR has built up cross-country mapping of the players that produce, distribute, amplify and influence information. This August 2026 global build brings the public directory to 103 countries across Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Eurasia, MENA, Asia, Latin America, North America and Oceania. The public directory is intentionally selective: it helps visitors see the breadth of the map without publishing MJRC’s underlying analytical work.

Public-facing directory

The directory is the index. The analysis goes further.

For clients and partners, MJRC can investigate how an actor sits inside the wider information ecosystem — who controls it, how it reaches audiences, which intermediaries matter and where influence travels.

ControlOwnership, governance and institutional power.
MoneyFunding, advertising and commercial dependencies.
DistributionWeb, social, platforms and other communication routes.
ConnectionsRelevant political, corporate and intermediary relationships.
AmplificationPaid, partnered and networked routes to visibility.
ChangeHow actors, channels and relationships evolve over time.

Connections

What changes when you connect the dots?

A directory tells you who exists. MPMONITOR also looks across entities, sectors and borders to identify the structures that connect them.

These snapshots show the kinds of relationships MPMONITOR can surface. They intentionally reveal only the public-facing connection, not the underlying research dossier.

Need to know how a company, media group, platform, political actor or campaign connects across countries and channels? MJRC can build a deeper provenance and relationship analysis around a specific question.
